Monarchy is a duo from London that produces dreamy pop-music with their Facebook page describing them as ‘Glacial pop with a throbbing undercurrent of humanity.’   Their first single Gold In The Fire / Black The Colour Of My Heart was released on Neon Gold Records on February 1st 2010. They have done remixes for Ellie Goulding, Kelis, Lady Gaga and Marina & the Diamonds.  In June 2010 they travelled to Cape Canavarel in Florida, broadcasting their first live show into space, making them the first band ever to perform live into space! Space is indeed an apt location for their soaring synths and euphoric basslines.  Monarchy do not show their faces or reveal their identity because they feel that artists have become bland and sanitized by the constant broadcast of personal lives.  Monarchy released their debut album ‘Around in the Sun’ in July of this year.  Anonymity aside, this is one duo that we cannot wait to see more of at the Together Winter Music Festival.
