Starsmith is DJ, producer, songwriter and remixer Fin Dow-Smith. Fin began remixing towards the end of 2008, when he was studying for his degree in Jazz Performance at the University of Surrey. Around that time, he bumped into Vincent Frank a.k.a. Frankmusik, who encouraged him to use his basic equipment – a Mac computer, a Logic program, a pair of Yamaha studio monitors and a Midi keyboard – to become a bedroom producer.  Starsmith is currently balancing DJ’ing and songwriting/production. His brand new single Lesson One/Champion is a collaboration with legendary French-House producer Alan Braxe.  Available on Braxe’s  world renowned label Vulture.  Being a DJ is crucial to what Starsmith does. Within the last year he has played at various festivals included Exit, the Big Chill, Rockness and soon graces the stage at the Together Winter Music Festival.
